I'd rather see Americans get jobs that could support their families with dignity, and prisoners get truely rehabilitated. That may be a pipe dream, but we should aim towards that, no?

Simple expulsion for illegal aliens is enough provided they have paid taxes on what they have earned, and pay their ticket back. If they commit a crime, jail time in their OWN country. Each prisoner runs us about $50,000 a year. How's their labor going to pay that off? I don't see a fence builder or highway cleaner earning $50,000 a year.

Incidently, being 'Liberal' or 'Conservative' is not an insult. Last time I looked, we were still free to choose our belief and political regime.

My 2 cents...(illegals) stop wasting money on wars that are not handled well at all (Recent conflicts) and losing  wooden crates of money.  Then we can start taking a look at our borders.

If we can't solve a illegal aliens coming to our own border illegally why are we so interested in fighting wars everywhere else?  Take Care of our home before we mess other peoples homes/lives  up.

Then, improve our actual agencies (FBI, CIA, National Guard, etc) then get rid of Homeland Security/Defense.  National Guard is ONLY for our nations Defemce NOT to be sent over to Iraq or AAfganistan. 

FBI are invertigators of our highest level in our own country.  Improve their department so that they have a more people on their payscale to patrol our borders where needed. 

We'd also have and surplus money to spend on improving the borders through practicle means or other ways.  Imagine if we can improve the FBI CIA, and National Guard how much better our borders will be without ANY needs for a overlapping, redundent agency known as Homeland Security.  We really have so many redudent agencies in our country  that are so useless that the country needs to look at if they are being effective.  We improve our current agencies and get rid of the agencies that overlap each other that make things more confusing and double standards.   Our agencies will also be able to react quicker as they don't need to go tyhrough so many different department/opther agencies.

Same here in Oz... don't matter which Party's in Office, we are over-governed and have a huge bureaucracy that takes eons to accomplish anything and couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery..
